Oracle 23ai introduced new clauses to the DEFAULT expression in DDL:

Syntaxes

DEFAULT [ ON NULL [ FOR INSERT ( ONLY | AND UPDATE ) ] ]

This is a useful feature to support in jOOQ:

  • DSL API
  • QOM API
  • Parser
  • Code generation
  • Emulation (replacing NULL bind values and expressions by the DEFAULT expression, e.g. COALESCE(?, <default expr>))
