Data loss after changing replication factor #7496

We lost a lot of data after changing the replication factor in the citus cluster.
The data added few days before changing the replication factor is lost.

earlier we changed from 1 to 2. Then we changed back from 2 to 1

That sounds really bad. Could you share the steps how you changed the replication factor? Do note that these days a replication factor of greater than 1 is generally not recommended, the functionality is mostly still there for backwards compatibility.

we changed in postgresql.conf and restarted the postgresql service on all nodes
